José Miguel Viñals

I was born in Barcelona (Spain) in 1968. I helped my parents at their shop during the weekends since I was in high school. I learned a lot about how to keep clients happy, and also about how to be respected by clients.

I studied Business Administration at ESADE and started working, right after the end of my studies, at an American company where I stayed for 12 years. I was Finance Manager for the Southern European branches (Spain, France and Italy), but kept close contact with all areas of the business.

In 2005 I left the company, worked somewhere else, and after a couple of years, I opened my own consulting company in… Timisoara, Romania.

During all this time I have helped many companies and seen many business models. I have understood why some companies succeed and why some others fail. And I think I can guess now if a company will make it or not in the medium term.

I discovered the concept of competitiveness and understood that companies who, aware or not, aim to be competitive (not cheap, that is different), have many more chances to succeed.
